Jr. Parts Specialist & Estimator

What You’ll Do – The Role (Responsibilities)

  • Handle all incoming and outgoing shipments for all departments. Check packing lists for accuracy, inspect contents, and notify the appropriate teams of arrivals.
  • Pack and prepare customer and internal orders for shipping.
  • Safely unload trucks using proper equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, slings). A valid forklift certification is required.
  • Keep the parts cage clean, organized, and well-maintained.
  • Follow all health and safety rules. Always ensure a safe environment for yourself and others.
  • Check all received goods for damage and ensure issues are documented and signed off on the Bill of Lading for claims.
  • Provide friendly and helpful service to customers and suppliers. Help resolve complaints and build strong relationships.
  • Assign and record serial numbers for incoming equipment and update storage locations in inventory logs.
  • Ship outgoing packages for all departments as needed.
  • Provide backup support for shipping/receiving and the parts department.
  • Inspecting and verifying all incoming goods for accuracy and condition, escalating non-compliant shipments as needed.
  • Loading/offloading of material with forklift.
  • Coordinating returns and/or replacements while keeping all stakeholders informed.
  • Assisting with inventory control maintenance, including all count cycles and necessary adjustments.
  • Maintaining accurate records of daily activities, including all relevant documentation for deliveries, shipments, and internal distribution of goods.
  • Tracking and verifying delivery of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Managing the binning process, including accurately labelling products, ensuring quality of received materials, and picking for work orders in a timely manner.
  • Communicating with internal departments regarding receipt of orders.
  • Ordering and processing all standard bulk items for their location.
  • Issuing purchase orders as needed and maintaining accurate system records.
  • Housekeeping of the shipping/receiving area.
  • Other duties deemed necessary and reasonable by management, as assigned.

What You Need (Requirements)

  • 1-3 years of experience in warehousing, shipping, and receiving, and/or parts.
  • Physically capable of lifting or moving up to 100 lbs in both warehouse and field settings.
  • Valid forklift certification with demonstrated safe operating history.
  • Strong computer skills and expertise in MS Office applications.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong time management skills, with a proven track record of reliability and accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to challenges.

Working Conditions

  • Working in a warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dirt, dust, odors, and all outdoor weather conditions.
  • Working with lubricants, coolant, and other chemicals; safe handling dangerous goods.
  • Physical labor required to load/unload and organize materials.
  • Heavy lifting and physical exertion required.
  • In the case of a power outage or declared State of Emergency by any level of Government, be available for work.
